Gospel reflection for February 3, 4th Sunday in Ordinary Time: People often rejected Jesus during his life and ministry, even those close to him, even his hometown folks. For speaking the truth of who he is – the prophet God has anointed to bring good news to the poor – the people of Nazareth try to push him off a cliff in Sunday’s gospel. When we feel rejected or misunderstood, we can always turn to Jesus to understand what we are going through – he has been there, too.
