Loving God, through our observance of Lent, help me to understand the meaning of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection and reflect it in my life.

Be present with me, God. Break through the ways I insulate myself from your grace. Pour out your Spirit on me. Open my eyes and ears to recognize where you are leading me.

I saw a stranger yesterday. I put food in the eating place, drink in the drinking place, music in the listening place, and in the name of the Triune the stranger blessed me, my house, my cattle and my dear ones. And the lark said in her song: Often, often, often goes the Christ in
