“Whoever is not against us is for us.” In Sunday’s Gospel we reflect on the lives of Mother Marianne Cope and Father Damien de Veuster. Both Mother Marianne and Father Damien gave their lives in service of people suffering from leprosy and who had thus been casted out from their communities. Their faith showed them that there is no difference between us and those society considered outcasts.
Key lines: Sometimes I feel like / I’ve never been nothing but tired / And I’ll be walking / Til the day I expire / Sometimes I lay down / No more can I do / But then I go on again / Because you asked me to.
Questions: Who has our society excluded? What issues draw lines between people in your community or school? Think up ideas that may help you to resolve those issues.
